If you appreciate meticulous detail coupled with breathtaking performance, then this is the driving machine for you! The fit-and-finish and attention to detail was done by the nationally recognized Painthouse [and award-winning car builder] Randy Borcherding, whose work has been showcased on "Power Block TV," various magazine covers and recipient of awards galore [Super 'Chevy' Fontana, Houston AutoRama, Grand National Roadster Show, Detroit AutoRama, the Columbus (Ohio) Good Guys Nationals].

Whether it's the hand-formed aluminum lining the grille/air-intake tunnel—the knockoff hubs—the cast-aluminum Cobra valve covers—the air cleaner powder-coated to match the exterior finish—the matching paint stripes under the hood—the custom billet coolant expansion tank—the custom, gasketed functional cold air box—the Cobra finned cast-aluminum oil pan—the hood/bonnet handles (not pins)—the front license plate bracket; the custom milled escutcheons for the shoulder harness penetrations—the gleaming aluminum door sills with etched striping, etc., etc., the fine engineering and exquisite craftsmanship of this car is self-evident.

Here are more details about this rip-roaring red reptile:

COCKPIT

This rip-snorting reptile is strong, quick, agile and dependable by design. When you push the starter button, the car drives and handles like a modern sports car. The suspension was set up on scales and the drivetrain was fine tuned on a chassis dyno. The blueprinted FE powerplant is controlled by an Accel DFI engine management system with Accel Dual Sync distributor to perfectly match the camshaft and injector pulse timing. Accel fuel injectors were machined into each runner of the Edelbrock Performer RPM intake feeding the Edelbrock aluminum heads. The engine generated 455 flywheel horsepower and 430 ft./lbs. torque [at the flywheel]. The power is fed through the rugged Borg Warner T56 six-speed Dodge Viper transmission with forkless hydraulic clutch to the Currie 4.56:1 Traction-Lok rearend with Moser axles. Because of the six-speed gearbox, this car is quick from stoplight to stoplight, but runs only about 2,100 engine rpm at 80 mph in top gear! It's a dream to drive on the highway and country roads, and it's quite challenging for you to encounter its top speed.

Lone Star's attention to occupant-area space and design greatly enhances this car's road-cruising comfort. Curt Scott (6'-3" tall) personally related to me that a Lone Star Cobra that he drove at Willow Springs provided the most ergonomic and comfortable driver environment of any Cobra he had ever driven. This serpent is perfect for larger/taller guys because of the increased occupant area, dropped floorpans, adjustable seats and splendid Tilton adjustable pedal set; if you're over 6'-2" tall, you'll be astonished at how nicely it 'fits.'

Only 3,306 miles [±5,300 kilometers] on this fine road machine. I have moved to outside the US and—sadly—can't take it along. Don't mistake motivated for desperate. I invested well over $100,000 to build this beauty.

You're welcome to contact me for the complete specifications list and more details.
